How does vocabulary test work?

The test program is designed for mulgilanguage vocabulary test and for English exams like TOEFL iBT, GRE, SAT, TOEIC. Currently, there are vocabulary tests for examinations. We are working on structure tests also.

The user chooses one of the tests, number of questions, the speed and the font properties and then clicks on "Start Test" button. Test will start in a new window.

Program randomly chose words and their meanings from English, TOEFL iBT, GRE, SAT wordlists and asks each word with one correct and two wrong answers. You must be quick since you have a little time. By default this time is 7 seconds, but it may set from 1 second to 30. The user must click on one of the three choices. Their backgrounds are in light colors. The right answer will be shown immediately after the users click with dark background.

Test Tracking

FreeTOEFL.net members can set up tracking vocabulary. Tracking will look up your answers and will not ask again the words that you know.

• Login or Sign up as a new member
• Set up your tracking vocabulary on your "Account Info" page. It must be one of above vocabularies to use Tracking on FreeTOEFL.net.
• Return to Vocabulary Test page
• Choose the same vocabulary with your Tracking Vocabulary to study.
• Start and FINISH the test. If you don't finish the test, tracking will not record these answers.

Troubleshooting

Test will be start in a new window. If new window size is too small, resize the window to fit the test. Your browser will remember these window size settings, so close this window and restart the test.

TOEFL Book Reviews

Very helpful, but not sufficient
This book is very helpful for Toefl test-taker to understand the rule of English grammer. The first thing you have to do with this book is to take the simulated test of Toefl grammer section. After it, you can check the point of grammer that you don't understand. But in TOEFL, it is *NOT* enough to understand grammer rule. You must be accustomed to finding what is questioned by the testers. So you have to practice with preparation kit published by ETS or other books simulating TOEFL test. The comination might be helpful for you.
